Procrastination the killer of dreams

Hey There 🙂

A COUPLE OF THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Procrastination is the silent killer of dreams. It creeps in disguised as “I’ll do it tomorrow” or “I’m just not ready yet,” but before you know it, tomorrow turns into next week, and readiness becomes an endless excuse. The truth? There’s no perfect moment, no magical alignment of the stars. The people who make things happen don’t wait for the right time; they create it.

Take a Minute: Think about that one thing you’ve been putting off. It could be a conversation you’re dreading, a project that feels overwhelming, or a decision that’s been sitting on your plate too long. What if you just started? Not finished, just started. The first step is often the hardest, but it’s also the one that breaks the cycle of delay.

A COUPLE QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

What has procrastination cost you so far? How many opportunities have slipped through your fingers because you waited for the “right time”? How much mental energy are you wasting on tasks that could be done and dusted if you just took action?

From Me to You: These questions aren’t meant to make you feel bad; they’re here to light a fire under you. Procrastination is a sneaky form of self-sabotage, but you’re stronger than that. Write down what you’ve been avoiding, then take one small step today. Don’t let another week slip by with unfinished business.

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK

This week, pick one thing, just one, that you’ve been putting off and tackle it. No excuses, no delays. Whether it’s applying for a job, having a tough conversation, or finally starting that side hustle, the key is to start. Perfection isn’t the goal; progress is.

Heads Up: Staying in your comfort zone is where dreams go to die. Stepping out, even if it’s just a small move, is how you take control. So take that step and share your wins, big or small. I’m here to celebrate with you.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Last week, we took on self-doubt and how it tries to keep you playing small. If you didn’t catch it, you can find it here.

WORDS FROM THE CROWD

For “Anonymous,” finally starting that long-delayed project turned out to be a game-changer:

Summary:
“I kept putting it off, convincing myself that the timing wasn’t right or that I needed more planning. But when I finally decided to push past my doubt and just get started, everything began to click. Once I took that first step, things started to fall into place.”

This story is a solid reminder that doubt can keep us stuck longer than we realize. Often, just taking that initial step is all it takes to get things moving in the right direction. Starting is the key to unlocking progress.

Kim shared how taking action led to unexpected clarity:

Summary:
“I was sitting on this decision for way too long, going back and forth in my head, questioning every move. I didn’t know if it was the right thing to do, so I just kept stalling. But last week, after reading my empowerment email, I finally said, ‘Screw it,’ and made the call. And guess what? It turned out to be exactly what I needed. I guess sometimes, you just have to stop doubting yourself and go for it.”

Kim’s experience is a blunt reminder that clarity doesn’t come from endless thinking, but from taking action. Doubt can be just another form of procrastination. Taking action, even when you’re unsure, often brings the answers you’re looking for.

A Quick Note: I love hearing your stories, so keep them coming. Whether it’s a small win or a major breakthrough, I want to celebrate it with you. Just hit reply to share your moment, anonymously or not, your call.

LET’S DO THIS AGAIN NEXT WEEK

Procrastination will always try to steal your time, but it’s how you push through that sets you apart. Let’s keep moving forward, one step at a time.

Stay strong,
