    You can explain yourself clearly and honestly, but you can’t force someone to understand you if they’ve already decided to misunderstand. Sometimes protecting your peace means saying your piece and letting them think whatever they want.

    Abandoning the need to correct people's false narratives frees up massive amounts of cognitive bandwidth for actual execution.

    I completely agree. Say what you need to say, stand by your truth, and then let it go. You don’t have to keep explaining yourself to people who have already decided not to listen. Protecting your peace is more important.

    I need this superpower. Being the family scapegoat and having lies about me being the official narrative has me really struggling. The only way I've been able to deal with it is to go no contact. I showed up for years but I felt like my soul died a little more every time I became
